Banking Litigation
We have developed considerable expertise litigating on behalf of
foreign banks and against Canadian banks. J. Gardner Hodder has
acted for two Hong Kong banks and a Dutch bank. Our litigation

letters of credit, security enforcement and guarantees.
Commercial Litigation
We have a long history of servicing small to medium-sized
businesses, their shareholders and partners, in a variety of

Complex Litigation
J. Gardner Hodder acted, with notable success, in the first class
action to be tried in Ontario under the province’s class action
legislation. In addition to acting as lead counsel in a variety of
class actions, Mr. Hodder regularly consults in matters of class
action strategy.
Employment Law (Wrongful Dismissal)
We regularly represent both employers and employees in matters of
wrongful dismissal (wrongful discharge) and related matters of the
enforcement of non-solicitation and non-competition agreements. J.
